About Yolanda...

Hello :)

My name is Yolanda and I live in sunny San Diego with my husband and two small poodles. I enjoy reading (feel free to recommend your favorite book or a good one you've read recently), music, hiking, running, camping (nature, really!) Beer is also a fun hobby and I love to try as many different kinds as I can and visit new breweries.

I just discovered Maxicards and would LOVE one if anyone can send :) I did not know about them before and are not common in the U.S.

I am excited to receive any card you send but a few ideas below for favorites:
- bright colorful cards, especially with purple - my favorite color!
- anything with a Y or "Yo" (my nickname) on it! It is sometimes hard to find my monogram :)
- pineapples!! (are the best)
- dancing - I love Latin dance
- anything related to my favorite painting: Dance Me to the End of Love by Jack Vettriano
- beer, wine, & coffee - I LOVE discovering new beers/wines and enjoy coffee art
- anything with hearts
- hot air balloons! Or balloons of any kind. (Especially in my birthday month!)
- old/ornate/beautiful keys
- science/math themed cards, especially historical (I studied 19th C. mathematics)
- important landmarks or famous places where you live
- nature scenes from your country or city scenes from where you live
- interesting or unique textures/colors (such as a different kind of paper, cardboard, etc.) are fun to stand out in my collection
- funny cards - it is always nice to have a laugh!

Most importantly, I am interested in anything about you, where you live, and what your life is like. You can send me favorite quote, book recommendations, music/art you love - anything. I love to see how much people have in common across the world (or even across my own country).

Cheers,
Yolanda
