I love Santa Barbara, my home since 1983. I love to be a Californian. I run and hike the local mountain trails with my husband Dave. I have a new puppy, Enkidu, half lab-half Australian Shepherd, and he is fast becoming a running & hiking companion. I bike. I have been practicing yoga since Bill Clinton was president, and I added Pilates to my week routine when Obama was in office. I read novels (Proust, Knausgaard, Ferrante my favorite novelists) and I read literary memoirs.

Just about every postcard I receive is a favorite, though it may take me several weeks to scan a postcard and identify it as a favorite. Postcards from your hometown or country are always welcome, especially if a bit quirky. I like historical images of your town or country, including images of royalty, presidents, their families. I also like postcards with adorable animals on them. Vintage postcards or postcards with vintage images are also wonderful. Whimsy is good, too. I'm fond of postcards of writers and/or their homes, especially if they are from your country or city. Be original, if you please.

Sophia, your postcard from South Africa arrived July 12, 2020, and I am so grateful to you for sending it!

January 2021: German Postcrosser, (Silleerdisfel??). Your Keep Calm postcard with the mountain and sunset landscape is lovely, but I can't find a postcrossing number, and the postmark id information is obscured by the colors on the stamp.
