About Paolo...

Challenge for 2021: I don't think I'm the only one that has a few postcards that they can never imagine ever sending to anyone. Could be several reasons... too controversial, horribly unfunny, hideously ugly, flat out boring, etc. Those cards leave you with two options.. throw them away or keep them forever. Well, I have a third option... send it my way!!! And when you do, let me know why you didn't want to send it to anyone (although I suspect that answer may be obvious in many cases). I'm really curious to see what turns up.

Now back to the previously scheduled profile...

I live in New Jersey, just outside of Philadelphia, with my lovely wife, three daughters (although two are off to college), and two crazy dogs. I enjoy sharing postcards with people around the world. I love learning about different places. Tourist cards highlighting your city or a card from one of your vacations are always welcome. I especially love map cards.

Don't know what to write on the back? Here's a few prompts:
* Your favorite joke.
* Why you picked the card you did.
* Why I should visit your country.
* Your favorite (food/drink/animal/place/book/movie/etc)
* A drawing or collage of stickers/washi tape.
* Ask your child to write it (even toddlers)
* Smiley face
* Scribbles
* Whatever makes you happy

Don't have/like sending tourist cards? Here are some ideas:
* People being people (street photography)
* Political satire
* Mechanical/engineering related
* VW Microbuses
* Birds
* Sailboats
* Art works
* Music (Baroque, Classical, Romantic eras – especially Opera)
* Religious history/architecture (especially Nativity scenes)
* Sunsets and beaches
* Soccer
* Sunflowers
* Lavender

Thank you and have an exceptional day.

Some final notes:

* Are you concerned about sending a duplicate? As long as the back is different... it's not a duplicate

* If you are a crafty person that takes pride in making their own cards and feel that no store bought card can match it, feel free to share one. Let your creativity flow.

* I prefer cards without envelopes... the travel scars give them character. But if you feel the need to put one in an envelope, no problem.

Be well
