About Chrissy...

Hello!

I was born in Germany, grew up in Scotland, and currently live in London. I've been here for ten years, but I'm still finding new and exciting things about this amazing city.

I'm an illustrator and dog nanny, so I spend my days drawing and looking after all kinds of sweet dogs in my home. I'll illustrate some postcards specially, if my selected Postcrosser is happy to receive them.

I love all kinds of creativity; classical painting to low-brow and street art, architecture, design, films, music, writing, theatre, photography. I'm drawn to all kinds of styles and genres, and love discussing with people about the things that speak to them.
Of course I love drawing especially - my favourite media are pen and ink, and watercolours. I'm kind of a stationery geek too.

I'm always dreaming of far away places, I love to travel. I'm forever looking at photos or reading about people and places around the world, and trying to fill my passport with stamps. I love meeting people and learning about their lives.

I care very much about animals and wildlife. I'm especially fascinated by sealife - I recently learned how to scuba dive! It's my ambition to dive in as many locations as I can. So far - The Great Barrier Reef, Fuerteventura and the Philippines.

Themes I like are:
Travel (I love the vintage travel postcards), art, street and city views, anything to do with the sea (including boats and old ships with sails), sci-fi, Hallowe'en, fantasy, space and astronomy, arty images or photos, people, science, wildlife/botanical. But really I will appreciate anything you choose to send me.

Tell me about you! Your everyday life, your interests, the strangest fact about you, your favourite quote, your pet hate, your dearest wish. Anything you like, I'll find it all fascinating. I'd love it if you told me a word in your language, and its meaning.

All the best to you!
Chrissy
