Hi everyone!!!!
I am Sophia, an international student from China, and now studying in the United States. I am a cat lover and have three cats of my own. One of them was a birthday gift in 2019! His name is DD(弟弟 in Chinese, it means younger brother). I will bring him back to China after I graduate. Hopefully, by then, the condition of the epidemic will have improved, and we’ll be able to take the long flight easily! And the other two were injured strays I found near my home in China. They currently stay with my parents.

I haven't been back to China for over two years because of the epidemic and I really miss my family. There were so many regulations and restrictions issued by customs and airlines that might separate DD from me. I didn’t want that to happen, so I didn’t go back.

Because of the outbreak, most of the students have taken online courses, and many international students have returned to their home countries. Sadly, many pets have been abandoned or stuck near schools for a variety of reasons. As a pet family, I am very unhappy with this situation. If you happen to know someone who wants a pet, please ask them to check nearby shelters first. As I know, many international students abandoned expensive breeds of cats and dogs, and they usually have a good temper, which is great for first-time pet families. I adopted a Syrian Hamster recently because I am not able to carry any more cats on the plane. This is my first time having such a small pet! Surprisingly he is smart and gets along well with my cats! May Love Be with you all!
