Once again real life is keeping me very busy and I'm finding it hard to keep up with all the postcard swapping requests! It's wonderful to hear from you all but I find that I just can't answer everyone right now. If you don't hear from me please try again in a few months.

If you are expecting a card from me and haven't received anything for a few weeks please contact me again now so I can write to you again.

This is a great project and it is so interesting seeing the huge array of postcards being swapped, wow.

I've collected postcards pretty much my whole life but it's a big world and I'm always happy to see more of it!

I've travelled to around 20 European countries, a few in the Middle East and 15 states in the USA.

I love all the diverse postcards I receive, always fun to be surprised by a card in my mailbox, but if you aren't sure what to send, here are some suggestions:

My favourite type of postcard shows me something of the country or region you live in, especially something unique or distinct about where you live, or some aspect of your country which is special to you.

I'd love it if you could tell me a bit about the place on your postcard, maybe why you chose it or why it's special to you or your country.

For example:

Native animals
Native flowers or plants
Historical sites
Places of natural beauty (mountains, deserts, forests, lakes etc)
Religious sites(churches, temples, synagogues, mosques, shrines)
Capital city
Your town, city or village
Traditional costume
Festivals
Typical or traditional buildings and architecture
Everyday life
Local customs or culture - famous artists or writers etc, local art
Famous buildings
Local crafts or artwork
Local foods or produce
Volcanoes
Glaciers
Waterfalls
Rivers
Maps

I don't mind if you send a postcard by itself or in an envelope, but please do send a postcard from your country and not a commercial greetings card. I don't really enjoy ad or handmade cards as much either, unless it is showing something special to your country.

I also enjoy interesting stamps, so nice stamps are great.

Happy postcrossing!
