Hi!

My name is Rachael. I'm just getting back into Postcrossing again after a long hiatus. I am a photographer, a writer, and I love learning about other cultures. I'm interested in traveling, listening to music, eating really good food, and curling up on the couch with a cup of coffee and a good book. One of my favorite things to do is read and collect books. Mostly I like fantasy/sci-fi, but I also like children's books, cookbooks, photography books...well, I just love books.

My husband and I, along with a cat, live in the East Mountains area, a rural area near Albuquerque, the largest city in New Mexico. Writing and receiving letters from people all over the world is something I have enjoyed for a long time. When I was a child, I was in a penpal program with children in other countries.

Please send whatever postcard you think I might enjoy--I don't really have any preferences, and don't want to be expecting anything in particular, as I like to be happily surprised by whatever card someone chooses to send me. I would be happy to get a handmade card!

I do prefer to have my card stamped, and not in an envelope--unless you're sending more than one card. I love seeing the evidence of travel.

Also, when it comes to sending postcards, I will try to fulfill requests if I have a card that matches something you like, but unfortunately the selection around here usually runs to "Greetings from" type cards and not much else. Sorry! I am also going to try to make homemade ones if they aren't too terrible. ;-)
