Hi dear postcrossers,
I am Sherry form Beijing, China, and now studying abroad in the US. It's kind of lonely I guess, so that's sort of why I begin to do this thing. Of course, I am looking forward to all your postcards.
It is my pleasure to have the opportunity of seeing your postcard in short. Please read the following before you send me your postcards.
For text:
I literally will be pretty sad and frustrated if i get a postcard with only a few lines of greeting on it. I hope you could fill the postcard with text if possible, because that's definitely what I am doing. If you don't know much of English, please maybe ask for someone around you to translate your language to English.
If you don't mind, I'd really like to hear your personal confessions, like your deepest dream, your love story, the book you read or the movie you watch recently, a secret you never mentioned to anybody, or the problem that has been bothering you for long. Also, Id like to see your signature in your own language in the end.
Asking for your excuse, but I am really not interested in how is the weather like, your family condition(if that has nothing to do with your story), or anything else under the general introduction category. You know, I may only get one chance to get to know you, so I don't want to just stay on the surface. Remember, all I care about iis to know your heart, but not your appearance or things like that that won't impress me.
Well, if you are not comfortable with personal stuff, just go with your heart. Again, I what to apologize for maybe being too strict on this stuff, but I want to say, I am taking this postcrossing really seriously and sincerely and hope we are on the same page! Best wishes!
For postcard:
Wants: interesting designs, vintage, sightseeing/ souvenir, portrait, great photography, movies.
(I am kind of picky in that one, but I won't be annoyed if you really don't have any that's handy.)
Don't wants: handmade, commercial, blank ones or ones with baby, animals, thrilling/creepy pictures.
For postage stamps:
really no preference, but I'd like to see your different local postage stamps.
In the end, I am all excited to get to know your guys. It is the power of fate that makes us connected. Let's be grateful and value this wonderful opportunity.
