About Sandy...

Hi! I'm Sandy Sisk from Morganton North Carolina. I LOVE where I live!!! Morganton is in the western part of North Carolina, also known as the foothills. Interstate 40 goes through our city of Morganton. An hour west of us is Asheville NC (home of the Biltmore Estate) and an hour east of us is Statesville. And 30 minutes north of us, is The Blue Ridge Parkway!!! We love to take daytrips to the mountains/parkway!

My picture is of Table Rock, a mountain here in Morganton. Table Rock is located on the east rim of the Linville Gorge. The Linville Gorge is known for its fonta and flora, trails, and rugged terrain. My in-laws have a farm right under Table Rock and I love taking pictures there!!! You may receive a postcard of Table Rock from me!!!

My family means the world to me!!! I've been married 27 years. I have a 23 year old daughter. She finished college last year, has a full time job and still lives at home which I am thankful for!!! My son is 15 and into everything!!! He is finishing up his 9th grade at high school, active in church and marching band.

My hobbies include: spending time with my family, flower gardening, flower and nature photography, and taking daytrips to the mountains. I like the Spring time with new flowers blooming, but Fall of the year is my favorite. I love the color of the leaves. One of my new hobbies is being a marching band mom! Now that my son is in the marching band, we follow him around to football games, and band competitions. We love it!!! We love supporting our son and his school. I also love to watch tv. I love watching HGTV Home and Garden TV, The Food Network, and DIY Channel. And a good movie from the Lifetime or Hallmark Channel.

April 2016 I learned I had breast cancer. After 3 surgeries, and many rounds of chemo, I am free and clear and a CANCER SURVIVOR. I made it through with the love, support, and help from my family.

My son and I just pulled out a map and some old postcards to decorate his bedroom. And I remembered Postcrossing. I had an account about 6 years ago, sent and received several potcards, then I let the account go inactive. I just reactivated the account and I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO SENDING AND RECEIVING POSTCARDS AGAIN!!!! I can't wait to see and read your postcard!

Thank you, Sandy Sisk
