Hello from New Zealand! I have enjoyed letter writing since I was a child and love collecting postcards and although I don't write many long letters these days this is the perfect way to continue my hobby :o). I have been married for 33 years and live in a small country town at the top of New Zealand's South Island. I love animals (have 2 cats), music, travel, genealogy, pretty stamps, the American West, to name a few. I like to watch older TV shows on occasion with my favourites being "Murder, She Wrote", "MacGyver" and "Stargate SG1". Also LOVE the current Canadian TV show "Murdoch Mysteries".
The cards I hope to receive some day are listed under "My Favourites" :o)
Please no weird or ugly cards that have neither meaning nor purpose. I prefer pretty, happy postcards with some of my favourites being:
*Attractive city, village, town views etc.
*Vintage town/city views
*Beautiful winter "Christmas" postcards
*Susan Wheeler Bunnies, Mice etc.
*Classic Hollywood Legends from the 30's 40's 50's 60's etc.
*Richard Dean Anderson (MacGyver/Stargate SG1 TV series)
*Yannick Bisson (Murdoch Mysteries)
*Letter Boxes and Lighthouses sound fun to!
*Tausendschon cards are lovely to :o)
I LOVE the following cards and should anyone have one of these cards or similar and wants to do a private swap please let me know :o)
This card looks exactly like one of my cats:
*World famous tourist attractions
*National Parks of the USA and Canada
*USA city and State "Greetings From" cards
*USA State Map cards plus trying to add more of the following style to my collection:
*Animals & Birds (especially cats, dogs, reindeer, rabbits, horses, donkeys, cows, wolves, bears, moose, elk, Northern Cardinal, Red Robin)
*Trains esp. famous ones such as the Rocky Mountaineer/The Orient Express/The Ghan
*Winter Wonderlands to name a few...
*Please no ad cards or free cards UNLESS they relate to my "wish" list and are pretty thanks. Also not too keen on Art cards.
Hope the above will help with your decision......thank you! These are just suggestions as I know it can be helpful to have ideas :o)
