About Dianne...

Updated 8 December 2023
I have yet again been suspended by Postcrossing as a result of the dysfunctional SA Postsl Services.
Please be patient your card will expire as it takes mainly in excess of 90 days to get to me.
Updated 13 March 2023
I am feeling extremely disappointed, upset and frustrated as Postcrossing suspended my account on 1 March 2023 due to an alarming number of cards not registered!
I register every single card I receive.
I can confirm that living in Pietermaritzburg under a dysfunctional provincial Government is the only reason I have not been able to register cards. The Postal Services deliver post once every quarter!
I miss choosing addresses, writing cards and receiving cards. I have not received a single card this year due to our dysfunctional postal services. In fact I have not received a card since November 2022!
I hope that eventually I will get a postcard so that Postcrossing can lift my suspension on sending postcards.
I can only apologize to those who sent me cards on behalf of South African Postal Services.
Wishing those of you fortunate enough to enjoy the sending and receiving of postcards Happy Postcrossing.
Update 20 October 2022
I write to apologise in advance to those who have sent cards but have not been acknowledged by me as our South African Postal Services is
totally dysfunctional. It takes A MONTH for a letter posted in another suburb to be received by me. A distance of 10 kms.!
I am sending cards at 3 per month via DHL Courier Services which is costing 3 to 6 times the usual postage rate.
I love my Postcrossing hobby and register every card I receive from Postcrossers.
Another example of the dysfunctional postal services is that I posted 3 cards whilst on holiday in May in the Drakensberg but none have yet arrived.
However, a card sent via Postnet, a private postal service on 20th April 2022 took 108 days to reach it's destination in China! The only option to me is DHL Courier Services. A record delivery by DHL is 11 days.
