About Margaret...

What to say.. what to say.
Right. I'm a 20 year old girl from a tiny town in rural New Zealand, who has Myalgic Encephalopathy.
M.E. is a complex, debilitating (The CDC has compared it to both lupus and renal failure in its ability to knock you for six.) disease that medical professionals suspect is neurological in nature. There are multiple ways of getting it, no real treatment (Many people in medical profession didn't believe it was a real disease until recently) and no cure.
The best way to describe what it's like... imagine having the flu. Now imagine having it all the time.
That's me.
It's hard but after a decade of living with it, you get used to working around it. It's one of the reasons I love Postcrossing. I can hear about people's lives from all over the world even when I don't feel well enough to leave my bed.
That's completely magic.
I'm interested in new places, new people and new things. I would love to travel at some point but since that's not really an option at the moment, I've opted for the world to come to me. Both the places and costumes of the world absolutely fascinate me and I like to learn bits and pieces of new languages.
When you send me your postcard, tell me a bit about yourself, or your town, something about it's history maybe. Do you have a national costume? Speak another language? Live in a big city? Tell me. I guarantee I want to know.

As for other interests: I love to sew, clothing mainly - I am of the opinion that one can never be too much of an individual; collect comics, both Marvel and DC, my favourite is Batman and his many spinoffs; love music, especially rock and pop; I'm a massive geek - I watch a whole lot of '90's sci-fi TV shows, am a science nerd, play a lot of PC games (Dishonored, Fallout, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Batman, etc), practice amateur photography in my large amounts of spare time, want to work in the forensic field and have way too much time on my hands.

As a sideline; I'm interested in the whole pen pal thing (way too much time on my hands remember ^^) so if you're interested, let me know.
