I'm just returning to Postcrossing after being "inactive" for several years.
I live in Portland, Maine, USA, which is a small city on the Atlantic coast. I'm definitely a geek or nerd, or dork or whatever word you want to use; I love science-fiction and fantasy. I love knitting, and painting, and Shakespeare makes me giddy.
I have not had a lot of opportunity to travel in my life and have only lived in one other place (New Jersey) when I was in college.
If you are sending me a card, please tell me a little something about yourself or your home. It can be anything - your favorite food, a joke you just heard, what you are doing the day you write the card, your favorite place, something silly, something personal, something you hate, or something strange - Anything!

I love interesting, funny, or quirky postcards that give me a little look at another culture. Hand-made cards, photos and landscapes are awesome too (but no multi-picture cards, please.) I love words, and I like cards with words on them, and if you are able to translate a little bit of what the card says that's nice too.
