I live in a multi-generational home in Nebraska, which is in the middle of the USA. Our state is largely agricultural, but also boasts one of the top 10 zoos in the world, a world class medical center and universities and much more. People are kind, friendly and family-oriented.

I lived in Houston, TX for nearly 30 years. I recently returned to Nebraska to be with my family and care for my grandchildren. Life was very fast and much more diverse there. Nebraska is slower paced and I spend much less time on freeways. I'm getting used to the more relaxed pace of life, but still long for the diversity and warmer climate of Houston. (Not a fan of winter cold and snow!)

I read about Postcrossing in The Monitor weekly news publication. It stirs my interests in many ways:
-I love the novelty of the concept
-I'm excited by the variety of people and places exchanging cards.
-I've traveled a bit in my life & delighted in sending postcards from my trips to friends and relatives
-I live with young children and want to teach geography through postcards and a world map
-I want to help promote peace and diplomacy in the world.

My postcard interests would be general and child appropriate, such as
* special places
* local customs or foods
* things people/you do for fun
* something kids do in your town/country
* animals unique to where you live
* anything science-related.
