Hello!

We are all 3rd grade students in Mrs. van Willigen's class (that means we are mostly 8 or 9 years old). We live in Southern Colorado where there is a huge valley surrounded by tall, majestic mountains. There is so much stuff to do outdoors here like skiing, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing-- it's amazing! Our school is very small, but we like it that way. It means that we have great connections with all of our fellow classmates and teachers!

Mrs. Van wants us to learn more about the world and all of the other people who live in it. She says that it will help us learn that even though other people are different than us, it doesn't mean they don't feel the same feelings or maybe even like some of the same things! If you'd like to, we would love to learn about some of your favorite books, foods, or anything else you'd like to tell us! What do you do for fun in your home-town? What does it look like outside your window right now? Our class has students that speak English, Spanish, and a little French. Most of us have Hispanic or Spanish ancestors. We love learning more about other cultures!

If you would like to write something down in your own language and then translate it, we would love to see what other languages look like!
