About Evelyne...

Hello,

I'm in my thirties, married to a police officer and mother to a beautiful daughter (born Oct 2010) and a wonderful son (born Oct 2011). We also have 2 spoiled little dachshunds named Wendy and Daisy, and a border collie named Oreo.

I was born and raised in a small country called Belgium, but moved after marrying my husband. After a few stops in Killeen, TX and Parsberg, Germany we now settled down in Odessa, TX, where I work as a secretary for Overhead Door. Aside from work, I volunteer with my daughter's Girl Scout Troop, as well as the Cub Scout pack both kids joined. Talk about busy lol, but I enjoy being involved with my kids' activities and spending that extra quality time with them while they're growing up.

As you can tell, I don't have a whole lot of free time, but whenever I do, I love traveling, and learning about the history and culture of new places. I don't watch much tv, but I love Disney movies and anything Disney in general. I also enjoy digi-scrapping, geocaching and doing puzzles, but my favorite thing to do is still and always has been losing myself in a good book.

I love getting all kinds of postcards, but if you don't know what to pick, these are some cards I enjoy:

* Anything dealing with police and law enforcement
* dogs (dachshunds, border collies and huskies especially)
* dolphins, penguins, meerkats, flamingos, wolves and deer
* wild animals in their natural habitat
* UNESCO
* Map cards
* native, aboriginal, indigenous cultures and people
* mailboxes
* restaurant/pub/bar/store fronts
* Eiffel Tower (it's where my husband proposed to me!)
* US presidents, royalty, Popes, famous people
* trains
* Mickey Mouse, anything Disney
* Wanderlust cards
* holiday themed cards, Christmas/winter scenes
* anything about scouting or camping

Some other types of cards I enjoy: books, movies, food/drinks, weather related (rain, storm, lightning,...), beautiful fall landscapes, historical places, typical outfits for your country, nice ad cards, Disney, Coca Cola, Thomas Kinkade, holidays you celebrate (please tell me how you celebrate them!), recipe cards, signs

From UK: I would love a "Mind the gap" postcard (inside joke with my husband)

My birthday is May 6, birthday cards are welcome in April and May.

If at all possible, I would love my cards written and stamped.
If you don't know what to write, I always love to read about something historical your area is known for, book recommendations, why you picked that card, read what a typical day is like for you, or something you feel thankful for today.

Hope you have a great day and I look forward to receiving your card :)
