Primero, si tú puedes enviarme una tarjeta postal en español, me encantaría! Gracias! Casi lo hablo con fluidez--es mi concentración en la universidad.

Mandarin speakers: If you want to write to me in Pinyin, you can! (I'm demanding, aren't I?)

What? I thought this was a dating service... weird. But I suppose that I'll try this project out, for kicks and giggles...

I believe that people don't send mail anymore not because of e-mail, and other social networks. In my mind they are supposed to complement actual person-to-person contact, not replace it. People don't send much mail anymore because THEY ARE LAZY. Lazy, lazy, lazy. Too busy? Psh, yeah, right. Here's a challenge: Throughout a regular day, try to count the minutes in which in reality you're not doing anything productive. Let me know how your trials went because I sure as hell couldn't do it. Now I'm definitely not saying I'm such the model example of time management skills, but what I do like to do is push my mother out of the way to rush to the mailbox to get the mail first. And I can't do that if people don't write mail anymore. I don't want bills in my mailbox (though a lot of them are electronic nowadays), but rather I want to see my name in your crazy, messy, handwriting, with your own stories to tell. People often think that Americans are lazy, but I propose the entire world is lazy, full of couch potatoes who now would rather resolve conflict and make important decisions through text messaging and social networking!

And to be honest, I do use this project to re-connect with my artistic side. So while I spend a little bit of time on my postcards, I don't expect you to. I just love running to the mailbox and seeing your wonderful card amidst my cell phone, electric, gas, water, car insurance, and credit card bills... =D

Enough of my rambling and ranting.

STARTING REAL PROFILE INFORMATION NOW:

Hi there, postcrossing world! Haha. I'm Brett. =) I am just an atypical college student living the dream... broke, stressed, and always tired!

I am in my second year at college. My concentrations are international relations/economy and the Spanish language. I may also add a creative writing minor because creative writing is one of my many passions.

I will take any postcard, though I do like the ones that showcase your country's/area's beauty. (also known as tourist postcards)

Also, please date them! I'm a numbers freak.

You can talk about slang words, food, or just weird "popular culture" things.

No more needs to be said. =) Happy Postcrossing!
