About Meredith...

Hello! My name is Meredith, and I am an 8th grade math & science teacher (students mostly ages 13-14). I'm married to a Michael, who is the head brewer of a recently-built expansion of Oskar Blues Brewing Company in Austin, Texas. We have an adorable son named Roscoe, born in January of 2016.

Before moving to the Austin area in 2016 we lived in Houston, Texas for many years. I now live in Leander, a suburban area that is very similar to the community where I grew up (Lewisville, a suburb of Dallas, Texas). I miss my life in the big city, full of so much action and diversity. I am getting used to it, but I'd really love to hear more about your home, culture, or language!

I really appreciate people who take the time to write more than just a sentence or two, but I know sometimes it is hard to think of what to write. If you aren't sure, here are some ideas about my interests:
- funny stories about when you were a kid, or about raising your own kids
- regional advice or traditions about raising kids (especially toddlers, around ages 2-3!)
- stories or advice to pass along to my 13-14 year old students
- interesting historical events from your area
- current events and political issues happening in your area
- cycling-related stuff (I grew up in my dad's bicycle shop, and I still ride and love to watch the Tour de France each July)
- handmade arts & crafts stuff (I love all kinds of arts & crafts, but I mainly work with clay, making pottery)
- local/craft beer stuff (I don't really drink, but my husband is in the industry, and I find it interesting!)
- whatever you are interested in! Do you collect anything? What do you do for a living? Do you have any hobbies? What is your greatest accomplishment? Or your most embarrassing moment?

Thanks!!
