Hi friends!

My name is Melanie and I enjoy spending time with my daughter, animals, writing, photography, collecting celebrity autographs, going to movies, the theater, & concerts. I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter and the Twilight Saga (movies and books). I also like to collect little magnets for my refrigerator & postcards!

I decided to sign up for Postcrossings because I enjoyed having pen pals when I was young. It's also nice to receive something in the mail besides a bill or an advertisement!

I enjoy traveling but have not had the opportunity do much. I have been to Tijuana and Rosarito, Mexico. And, I traveled to Guangzhou (Shamian Island), China for two weeks when I adopted my daughter. Those are the only two countries outside of the United States I have been to. Within the U.S. I have traveled to southern California, Hawaii, New York, Nevada (Las Vegas), Ohio, and Louisiana.

I would enjoy receiving any type of postcard you would like to send. It would be nice to see a view from your hometown or country. A picture postcard of a famous statue or a beautiful church would be nice. I would also like to see the people. I want to learn about where you're from.

Other card ideas are:

* Anything Disney, especially from other Disney locations (Tokyo, Paris, Hong Kong, etc)
* Britain's Royal Family - the late Princess Diana, William and/or Kate, and Harry
* Anything from China (for my daughter!)
* Dancers (ballet, or any other type of dance)
* Fairies
* Animals - especially pandas, giraffes, dogs, cats, horses, dolphins, wolves, & pigs
* Anime - also for my daughter
* Anything Asian (China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, etc) - art, landscapes, people, etc.
* Twilight saga, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Vampire Diaries
* Jetoy cards

And, please tell me something about yourself!

If you would like to send your postcard in an envelope (but still please write a note on the card!), I would love to receive something from your country. It could be a coin, banknote, newspaper headline, a magazine cover, or candy wrapper. Be creative! I would appreciate anything you would like to send!
