About Sabelle...

Greetings, and welcome to our profile! We’re Sabelle (the human) and Maud Fox (the mail-obsessed cat).

We share a home with my jovial husband and with a darling, deaf, and profoundly sleepy 14-yr-old doggie. Living in north Texas, with six months of intense summer heat, we’re eager to relocate somewhere with a cooler climate/more snow!

Maud was rescued as starving sickly kitten so that may explain our especially strong bond. She appears to be of Turkish origin, with short hair in the front but long silky britches and a glorious floofy tail. She’s the most loyal, sweet-natured, curious, and sensitive animal I’ve ever met. If you’re a caretaker to pets or enjoy the company of creatures, please tell us all about it!

Most of my hobbies revolve around snail mail: penpalling, mail art, stamp collecting, hunting for fun postcards. Maud developed a fascination for all things postal-papery too. Other than mealtimes, discovering what’s in our postbox is her very favorite time of day—she investigates every piece! She’s also my constant companion when I’m writing postcards, insisting to be involved.

Not surprisingly, our absolutely favorite postcard theme: **CATS**
Whether illustrated, photo, or homemade, any feline image will be cherished!!! From cuddly domesticated kitties to ferocious wildcats, we’ll love them all. 😺

(While cats can’t read, Maud certainly soaks up my joy when I find she’s been greeted/included on a postcard; I’m so appreciative to members who share that sense of whimsy).

Postcrossing should be a treat, not a task. PLEASE don’t apologize if you don’t have any cat cards or aren’t “a cat person”. Art cards and anything colorful is especially welcomed too and I’m always grateful for any postcard sent in goodwill. A giant Thank You to this community for sending such gorgeous cards and stamps!

Can’t wait to see what arrives next!
