About Maria...

Hello, dear postcrossers! I am glad you are here reading this. Despite that I’m not too active, I appreciate every postcard a lot, and even if I take a break, I always return to postcrossing.

My name is Maria (or Masha); I am 18, originally from Kyiv, Ukraine. Recently I've had one of my dreams come true: I was admitted to Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where I'll be studying computer science, starting this fall. I am truly excited about this place and people here.

Some things I like: my family – I have a little brother Miroslav and a Scottish fold cat Simon; maths, physics, CS and linguistics; swing dances; winter mountains and skiing; good books (a lot. my favorite writer ever – Charles Dickens), and movies of many sorts also; meeting friends, playing board games; traveling...

Well, that was a story about me, and I would love to know about you! You can write me about your dreams, your country - and what is worth to visit there, what book are you reading now, what is your favorite movie… or anything you want. Please don’t leave the postcard blank, I’m really interested in you as a personality.

In general about the postcards: I like different viewcards showing your country, maps; in case you have something fitting, I’ll be happy for the card related to my interests or any card from my favorites. If you have enough time, you may take a look on my detailed wishlist here: https://goo.gl/LwX69Q. Anyway, of course, I am happy to any postcard if it was chosen and sent with love.

If you're from Germany or France, you are welcome to write in your language (I barely know French and German even on an elementary level and I don’t promise to answer in these languages, but I'd love to translate). If you're from a Slavic country - I'd like to read a message in your native language, too.

Have a great day! :)
