About Margie...

Been married for 40 plus years .
We have a Beautiful Daughter who graduated from Penn State University.
I work for the local school district in the cafeteria as a cook.
We live in Hamburg, Pennsylvania.
Our town was settled in 1779 by Germans and is named after Hamburg Germany.
The big event in here is " Taste of Hamburg-er Festival".
The center of town is packed with the usual fair stands,
along with over 30 different Hamburger stands.
We are a town of about 4,300, with 40,000 people in town for this 1 day .
We live right on the edge of it, right across from a music stand.
We are also near the Appalachian Trail.
This is a mountain hiking trail that goes about 3/4 of the east coast of the US.
I enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. I like to take photos of the our area.
The Schuylkill River is a block behind our home.
I enjoy walking our dog and taking photos there.
My hobbies are Sewing, Knitting, Crocheting.
I make costumes for our High School musicals.
I have been tracing for family trees for that past 30 years.
"Love" going on old cemeteries. If you do genealogy you would understand.
When you are into genealogy you also get an interest into history.
My family came from Poland around the 1890's,.
My husband's from Germany, and Switzerland in the early 1700's
Another hobby of mine is the collecting of postcards
from the towns we were both grew up in.
We enjoy going to Public Auctions and Antique shops
looking for local collectibles, and postcards.
We also started going to "Postcard Fairs".
This is were people sell mostly postcards
with some antique photos and business trade cards.
I love old post cards ! So,do you have old ones from your area ?
That would be wonderful if you send one of those,
I have always enjoyed postcards, and the stamps from different countries.
So Please Send Me a Postcard !
I Will Love It for Sure!
