Hello, my name is Laurie and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. Though Salt Lake City is famous for being the home of the LDS Church (Mormons) not everyone who lives here is Mormon, including me (I am not religious at all). Salt Lake City is at the base of the Wasatch mountain range and where I live is at about 5000 ft. elevation. I live with my two sons, a black miniature schnauzer named Cosmo, and a blue (grey) kitten named Pearl.

I love books and read quite a lot. I also love knitting, photography, letter writing, and fountain pens. I am interested in all culture and history around the world.

I am a high school teacher and teach English language reading and writing, as well as chess. I love my job and feel so fortunate to be able to do work that is most always fun and interesting.

I am interested in civil and human rights in the USA as well as around the world.

I would love to receive a postcard that reflects something of the person who sent it--favorite poetry or quotes, information and/or history about the sender's locale, hobbies, interests, daily routine, food cooked and/or eaten, books read, etc.

Beautiful hand-decorated postcards/mail art are especially nice. I prefer handwritten, stamped postcards. I would love to receive another "maxi-card" from those able to send them.
