About Laura...
I recently turned 41 years old. When I was growing up, I was more of a dreamer, but now life has carved me into a pragmatist as well. This happened over the years, the same way water flowing around a large rock in a river can shape it over time.
I spent a lot of time at school, working for a dream to fulfill my potential as a pianist. I studied my undergraduate education in Minsk, Belarus. I was the first American to go to school there. (It's where I learned Russian).
Currently, I direct the Preparatory Division for a university music school. I'm excited about moving music into the local schools and using it in new ways to serve people in our community. I recently started a music program for children with Autism. My hope is that we will be successful in making a positive difference in many kids' lives through these music classes.
Hobbies include: going to the movies by myself and watching whatever chick-flick or art film while not sharing my caramel popcorn; getting massages; shopping; and sending postcards to strangers in foreign lands.
I look forward to hearing from your piece of the world.
