About Kit...

Aloha! Greetings! Pehea 'oe? How are you?
I live in Waimea on the Big Island of Hawai'i but am originally from Canada. Waimea is at the base of Mauna Kea (known as Mauna o Wakea). Waimea means reddish water. Almost every island in the chain has a town called Waimea. The mail is delivered to Kamuela. Interesting, eh?

I am fortunate to see lovely trees, flowers, and birds every day. A glorious beach is a twenty minute drive away. While walking along the ocean I collect shells and interesting coral pieces and think about others in faraway places and wonder how they connect to their home.

I would like to see postcards from your home that are significant to you and how you live.

I don't really like humourous postcards but rather beautiful scenery including buildings, landscapes, flowers and historical monuments.

I am married to a scientist and have three lovely German Shepherd dogs.

I'm also interested in DIRECT SWAPS. Just contact me first. I will have to limit direct swaps to one postcard though. The cost of postage here is expensive and I do have to limit myself to one card to each person.

I'm also open to exchanging small items such as seashells. My Hawaiian name is seashell and I'm collecting shells from all over the world. Maybe there's something from Hawai'i you would like (not sand, shells, stones or lava as it is all sacred)
But that can wait until we've gotten to know each other.

And yes to facebook friends: I'd like to know how you're doing.

I hope you are well and enjoying the summer sunshine.

aloha...kit
