Hi everyone,

My name is Kat and I am from Czech Republic, though living in Catalonia.

I am a university professor of literature and I admit, I love reading. My favourite writers are Boris Vian, E.A.Poe, Charles Baudelaire et les poètes maudits, Russian realists, E.T.A.Hoffmann, Villiers d'Isle-Adam, etc.

I love the book The Little Prince and I collect it in all languages! In my opinion, it's a book everybody should read and learn from.

I play the saxophone, the clarinet and the gralla-a traditional Catalan flute that is usually played when building the human towers (if you're interested in discovering more about them, see Castellers de Lleida on youtube; that's us!).

I like black and white movies, and black and white photography.

I also have a dog, a male weimaraner, called Hermann (after Hermann Hesse writer).

I'd like to receive whatever kind of postcards with themes that you particularly like. But if I have to express my preferences, I'd like to receive black and white postcards, postcards with writers, paintings or street musicians, The Little Prince, foxes or ravens, wind instruments, lonesome trees, mountains, rivers (like Volga), or any artistic one that encloses a message.

To conclude, I am very excited about this page, I was told by the postman of my neighbourhood and I just loved the idea! Nowadays, in the era of computers, the action of sending a letter/postcard is slowly being replaced by emails and chats, but thanks to this page and people like you, it will never entirely die!
