Hello--my name is Joyce and I live in Sugar Land, TX. I was born in New Orleans, LA and lived much of my life there. My primary hobby is paper crafting, specifically creating cards, although I do like to make postcards and mini books as well. I've studied both music and theatre but my jobs have not been associated with either so they remain as my avocations. I love to attend concerts and theatre performances. I learned piano at a young age, began playing the violin as an adult, and now I am teaching myself how to play the ukulele. I sing in my church choir presently. My other hobbies include gardening, reading, and leisurely cycling. I began collecting postcards as a child when my father, traveling for his job, would send them to me from Central and South America. Whenever someone I know is going to travel, I request they send a postcard to me. My favorite postcard is probably one sent to me from the Galapagos Islands. Postcards unite several other interests of mine: calligraphy, philately, photography, and written communication. I will appreciate any type of postcard I receive!
