Hello, my name is Jo and I live in Portland, Oregon. I've been in the Pacific Northwest for a little over a year now, but I call Kentucky and New Orleans, Louisiana my other homes, too.

I'm a cartographer, so I love maps! I also love to travel, and have been to 40 countries so far. I don't have a particular favorite, but I am a bit partial to Ireland, Scotland, Thailand, Laos, Mexico and Ecuador.

I also love camping, visiting the beach and walking around my new city with my dog (it's a very pet friendly place)- she's an 11 year old catahoula leopard mix who has more energy then most people I know - including me!

I really like the idea of postcrossing, and I look forward to sending and receiving great postcards from around the world. Hope to hear some happy news about your home from you!

Special request, if possible, please. A postcard showing a picture of your town, and also I'd be really interested to hear about:
1) the number one thing you would recommend a new visitor to your town to see

2) your favorite local dish or favorite restaurant (absolutely ok to say Grandma's house)
