Greetings....

I'm Jim, a recently retired man in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I travel quite often, throughout the United States and Western Europe. 2015 found me in Florence and then a week in Paris shortly after the attacks. To me, Paris is the capital of the world, it was such a different environment when I was there.

I have a strong interest in history, American as well as all other countries. I've recently become interested in World War I. I've done a great deal of reading about the war and attend a yearly seminar at the National World War I museum in Kansas City.

Very interested in art and museums. I've been to some of the great ones here in the US and in Western Europe....Paris, Rome, Venice, Florence, Berlin, London, Amsterdam and many more. I am an active volunteer at the Minneapolis Institute of Art.

I'd love to be in touch with people from all over the world. As a young man I had pen-pals in Sweden and Norway. I look forward to 'meeting' people via Postcrossing from all parts of the world.
