ABOUT ME

I am a proud father of four grown children, one lovely granddaughter, one bratty cat, and one spoiled, demanding Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I live with my beautiful wife in northwest Ohio not far from the western end of Lake Erie.

I worked with Bowling Green State University supervising the campus stores and campus card office for 14 years, but now work for the National Association of College Stores, overseeing education, consulting, and industry standards.

Beyond family and pets, I have so many interests, including reading and movies, photography, gardening/landscaping, art & architecture, genealogy, swimming, hiking, and almost any other outdoor activity, as well as traveling for pleasure - most especially to ocean beaches. Although I have lived in Ohio for 28 years, I was born in Connecticut and my heart belongs to New England. I have also lived in Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Florida.

I have traveled extensively in the US, mainly for my work, a little in Canada, the Caribbean, and Europe, one trip to China. I am very interested in cultural diversity - how people live and their local customs - in the United States and throughout the world. What makes where you live unique and interesting? There is always something!

I joined Postcrossing in April, 2016 after watching the excitement of my wife and one of my daughters each time they sent or received a postcard throughout the world. Since I love to take pictures, I plan to someday make my own postcards.

POSTCARD INTERESTS

The postcards I would prefer to receive match my interests above.

Any postcard that depicts local customs and culture, landmarks, architecture, or landscapes, festivals, events, or activities, will make me very happy.

If you send a postcard of a Corgi you are almost guaranteed to be listed among my favorites, although finding a Corgi postcard may be challenging.

I prefer not to receive generic images that have no locational or cultural context, such as a cat picture that has no connection to you or where you live. That said, I will be happy with ANY postcard if you tell me something about you and where you live.

I am a lifelong learner motivated by curiosity and always like to learn new things. What is unique or interesting about you or your culture compared to the rest of the world?

I would like very much to learn something about you and where you live. If English is not your native language, please feel to write something in your native tongue and I will try to translate it.
