About Jane...

Hi, I'm Jane. I'm an avid traveler & love to explore other countries & cultures. I try to take a trip overseas every year. Unfortunately because of COVID-19 I haven't been able to travel this year, but hopefully next year I will. Next up is Ecuador & the Galapagos Islands. I can't wait!

In addition to traveling, I love to read and usually read between 90-100 books a year. I read all genres except horror, but my favorite are fantasy, historical fiction, and mystery/thriller books. I have a blog of my book reviews that you can check out if you're looking for suggestions and an honest review. https://NerdGirlLovesBooks.com/

I am a big geek at heart, and have gone to San Diego Comic Con for the last 13 years and LOVE IT! :-) It was a huge bummer when it was canceled this year, but hopefully we will be able to have it next year. In 2017 I was given the huge honor of presenting on a panel at San Diego Comic-Con. It was an AMAZING experience that I would love to do again if I ever get the chance!

I love stamps and admire the creativity of other countries. You guys have some VERY cool stamps out there! If there are any cool superhero stamps, Star Wars Stamps, Star Trek stamps, Game of Thrones stamps, or any other nerdy stamps, I would love it if you would share those with me.

I am a HUGE hockey fanatic and follow the sport very closely. My favorite team is the St. Louis Blues (LET'S GO BLUES!!) and they finally won the STANLEY CUP!!! It's a dream come true for me and I still can't believe it finally happened. If your country has any hockey stamps or postcards, it would totally make my day if you shared those with me. :-)

Postcards:

I'm not very picky about what kind of postcards you send because I really appreciate the thought behind it, but if I had to answer, I would say my LEAST favorite are advertising cards and multi-view postcards.

As for my "likes", I would especially like any of the following postcards:

Maxicards - these cards match the image on the front of the card with the stamp - you can find examples here: https://www.postcrossing.com/blog/2012/03/19/postcard-formats-maxicards. These kind of cards are very rare in the US, so if your country makes these cards or if you can find one, I would be so excited to get one!

Hockey

Batman

Bridges

Black & White photography

City skyline views or aerial views

Pretty landscapes

Famous/popular locations of a city or country

Historic buildings/landmarks of a city or country

Different shaped postcards - I think these are so neat!

I also enjoy getting really quirky or weird postcards that leave you laughing or kinda scratching you're head thinking "what?" :-) So, if you have that one weird postcard that you're trying to figure out what to do with, send it to me!! :-)

I would love for you to write something about yourself on the postcard, or maybe one of your favorite quotes, favorite books, favorite movies or favorite foods. I can't wait to hear from you!
