I live by the sea in a small and ramshackled cottage filled with paint, cats, and a small dog. I've spent my life so far in conversation with paper; painting and writing. And I love postcards, which is what has brought me here, and stories, which also led to this.
If you are stuck for something to write to me, tell me three beautiful things you have seen today.
Birds delight me, lift my heart on their wings, but then so do most things that aren't human. Humans confuse me but I know there are good folk out there and i guess this is another stepping stone in my journey to post crossings.
I read a lot, love poetry especially. And beauty. Always beauty. I also write a lot- books, and paint. My books are published internationally and include The Lost Words, The Lost Spells and Tell me a dragon. I also have a couple of postcard sets out there, and hope to do more.
My studio ceiling is studded with cards.
I love Renaissance paintings, Hokusai, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, paintings and art. Inuit and first Nation and Aboriginal images, sculptures. And birds. Always birds.
