About Janis...
I am a retired deputy sheriff. After retiring as a deputy sheriff I worked for the St. Louis County Police Department in the computer report entry division. I just retired from that job, so I now have a lot of free time.
I love to travel and have been to Europe 4 times.I enjoy reading, collecting stamps and doing counted cross stitch. I love Christian music as well as classical and rock and roll. I love reading biographies, some fiction, history and historical fiction.
I have 3 grown daughters who are all married. They all live in St. Louis, MO which is where I live. I have one grandson who is such a joy to me. St. Louis is the home of the Gateway Arch which is a 630 foot high monument. I watched it being built, which was fascinating. I love baseball and my favorite team, of course, is the St. Louis Cardinals.
I love receiving postcards and if you want to say something about your daily life, and your customs, I would love to read it. I especially like local architecture, churches, and holiday postcards. It helps us to learn more about the world.
To my US Postcrossers join our campaign and request that the U.S. Postal Service issue a Postcrossing stamp. Please add this to your profile and send a postcard to:
