About Heather...

I recently moved to northern Ohio from Kansas, where I lived for last 2 1/2 years. While there, I studied at the American Institute of Baking and then ended up working there. Previous to that I lived in NE Washington near the Canadian border. I owned and ran a bakery there for several years. I challenged myself before opening the bakery, by building the building. And it was challenging because I'd never built anything before, but it came out nicely.
Right now I'm busy updating the house my husband and I just moved in to, and making plans to remodel it. I just signed up to be a foster home for kittens through the local animal shelter, so that will be rewarding. I enjoy reading...A LOT. I also enjoy many forms of art. I'm a lousy piano player, but have fun with it anyway when there's a piano around. I went to a drumming workshop a few years back, and made a drum there. That was a wonderful experience! I enjoy most kinds of music.I really enjoy meeting people and learning about their experiences. Traveling is good for this, but it's equally fun to meet new people where I live.I recently started classes in aromatherapy, studying the uses for essential oils. This has involved studying organic chemistry which surprisingly has been fascinating! I love helping people feel better so this is going to be a wonderfulopportunity when I'm finally done with the classes. I also enjoy being outdoors...walking, bicycling and a new hobby, zip lining! I figure life is short, so I'm going to live as fully as possible!

I'd love to see a post card of something that is special to where you live! I really like scenic pictures, as well as botanicals...flowers and trees and the like. I also collect things with foxes or crows on them. But any card will be gratefully appreciated!
