About Herbert...
Hello everyone! My name is HERBERT and I am a professor of Spanish language and Spanish American literature and culture at Indiana University in Indianapolis (IUPUI). I am originally from the Chicago area, in the neighboring state of Illinois. I am married, and my husband teaches art.
My academic research interests focus mainly on the field of LGBTIQ literature of Argentina. And the hobby I am most devoted to is collecting and writing with FOUNTAIN PENS (both antique and modern), fountain pen INKS, and penmanship. I do not have the most beautiful handwriting, but I am working to improve it!
I love learning about new places, so I am happy to receive beautiful images of the country / region / city where you live.
But I also especially enjoy
📨 ANTIQUE or VINTAGE cards
📨 FOUNTAIN PENS and INKS
📨 SPAIN and SPANISH AMERICA
📨 LANDSCAPES and NATURE
📨 traditional FOLK ARTS from your country
But ALL cards are welcome —because the card you choose will tell me something about you. And please write YOUR NAME clearly, so that I can write a personal "thank you" note.
And I love languages and learning about them, so please write a phrase or short sentence in your native language (with English or Spanish equivalent?) —that would make me very happy!
PLEASE NOTE: occasionally the US Postal Service attaches a 12mm wide sticker across the front or back of the postcard. This sticker can removed easily without damaging the card.
