I live in Iowa. I was born and raised in California until age 10 when we moved to a small farm near Pleasantville. It was quite a culture shock to go from a big city (Whittier) to a 40 acre farm. My parents had always dreamed of moving from the city to a farm since they were both raised in smaller farming communities. I have now lived in this same area for going on 40 years. I did move around some when I first got married. We lived in Texas and Illinois, but eventually ended up back in Iowa. I have two grown sons, a daughter-in-law I love dearly and two beautiful grandchildren! A girl and a boy. They are the light of my life. I work as a postal clerk.

Hobbies I have enjoyed over the years are reading, crocheting, writing to friends, and gardening. We also have a boat that we like to spend time on during the summer. We take a few trips south to Lake of the Ozarks. It's so relaxing and just a great lake to enjoy.
