My name is Valerie and I live in northern England. Before moving here I lived in Taiwan for 5 and a half years and I spent some time in mainland China too (Jinan and Shanghai), and loved visiting Hong Kong. At graduate school I studied medieval history, mainly Vikings, Scandinavia, and Iceland.

My main hobbies are knitting and reading. Of course I've had plenty of time for both in 2020!
