Greetings! My name is Erin Avery. I'm from Atlanta, Georgia.

I have a dual Bachelor's degree in Theatre and French from Wake Forest University. I'm currently a graduate student at Georgia State University, earning a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I'm passionate about the #EndTheStigma movement and advocacy for people living with mental illness. In 2013 I was diagnosed with a brain disorder, and my journey towards living well despite being sick has taught me a lot. I learn more and more every day.

I am a classically trained opera singer (coloratura soprano) and a stage actor.

I spent 6 months living in Paris as a study-abroad student. Anything Parisian/French gives me a Proustien 'moment privilégié'. I am fluent in French...alors si vous etes francophone, m'envoie une carte ecrit en francais, SVP! (Desolee re: la manque des accents quand je tape).

How would I describe myself? "Southern belle...with an edge". I like all things "girly" and my style is mostly "preppy", but there's a very tough side to me which I often don't show.

I collect anything with cupcakes, hot air balloons, Eiffel Towers, and Samoyeds, so I'd love postcards with any of those on them! I also love sweets and candy of any kind.

I have traveled all over the world, both with my family and also on my own. I have been to most major European countries, Russia, a few places in South America, and I've been nearly all over Central America, particularly the Caribbean.

I am a SCUBA diver and love diving and marine life. A few lifetime dreams of mine are: to dive the Great Barrier Reef, to dive with whale sharks, and to cage-dive with the Great Whites.

My favorite color is teal.

I love learning about outer space. I'm a nerd about it.
