I went to the library today to borrow a book about stamp collecting. I came upon a magazine called American Philatelic and in the magazine was an article on Postcrossing. I find this website and its intended use intriguing.

I recently retired from my job after twenty-six years of service and find that I can now do the things I never had the time to do before. I enjoy outdoors, fishing, camping, watching the wildlife, or to witness an awe-inspiring sight of a bald eagle that just swooped down with incredible speed and plucked a fish out of the lake. Occasionally a bear will cross my path, or a deer can be found outside my kitchen window. I would be driving on the back roads and come across a fox. I enjoy listening to the sounds of the birds or the sound of a bumble bee. Have you ever seen a hummingbird hover three feet from your face or watch two of them dance thru the air? Nature can be awesome and beautiful!

I would greatly appreciate any type of post card from any country and upon receipt of the postcard I shall seek to discover the beauty of that country.
