Empress Mentewab School is an private, non-profit elementary school in the remote northern Ethiopian Highlands, close to the Simien Mountains. To learn more about the school, please see the website:

The schoolchildren in the Postcard Club particularly enjoy receiving typical single-view tourist postcards. Other postcards that would interest children aged 9 and 10 would also be appropriate.

Please do not send:
- sunset or night-time postcards (too dark to see much)
- handmade postcards
- advertising cards
- cards with multi-views (it's difficult to see anything clearly on them, the pictures being so small)
- greetings cards (such as for Christmas, New Year, Valentine's Day or Easter)
- shaped cards

Please use stamps on your postcard and do not put the postcard in an envelope.

Please put the date on your postcard and write an interesting message.
