My name is Eric. I'm 32 years old (male), living in Chicago, Illinois, USA, with my wife, and working at a nearby university. We're hoping to do more traveling in the coming years... so far we've made it to Canada and Italy together (and a very short time changing planes in Zurich, Switzerland).

I enjoy studying history, especially Roman & early European history. I like rock & 80s synth-pop music. Squirrels and other small woodland critters always make me smile. In my free time I often read, watch ice hockey, and tinker with my computers.

I can speak some German, Spanish, and Italian, but it has been many years since I studied or made use of them.

I'd love to see postcards of historical landmarks or beautiful buildings in your town or country, but I'm happy with any postcards from around the world. Oh, if you come across an ice-hockey related postcard, I'd be very excited!
