Hi, A friend told me about this site and I am so pleased she did so. I have always had a love of postcards. I think it stems from when I was in hospital as a child and received regular postcards then. At that time visiting was very restricted for children. I can hardly believe it but I have now entered my 7th decade. Unfortunately I had to retire early due to ill-health but have managed to keep interested in my favourite past-times which are art and craft, reading and gardening as well, of course, postcards. I never throw them out and was lucky in that my son quit working a few years ago for about 9 months to go travelling the world. As a result I received postcards from places I will never visit. I intend using this opportunity to improve my geography. I will be looking up details for every place I receive a postcard from. I live in the middle of England, in a city called Derby. It is not the best of cities but a few miles out and you can be in the most beautiful countryside. I would prefer it if you only sent postcards. They can be in an envelope if that is preferable to you.Thank you for reading this and any postcard you might send me.
