My name is Danylo. I live in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine. On the morning of February 24, 2022, my usual life changed forever. Russia launched a large-scale unprovoked war in Ukraine from the entire length of the common border and the territory of Belarus. The Russian army fired artillery at Ukrainian border posts. At the same time, more than 40 military infrastructure targets were struck, including from the air, in almost all regions of the country. After that, the movement of tank columns and manpower of the invaders into the territory of Ukraine began. Today, 20 km from my city there are terrible and bloody battles, most of the region is under occupation. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the police and territorial defense units are putting up fierce resistance.

Mariupol, a Ukrainian city, is still under a long siege, the city is in a humanitarian catastrophe. The occupiers do not allow the evacuation of the civilian population, moreover, they take part of the Ukrainian population from the occupied cities to the territory of Russia. The Russian army resorted to bombing, rocket and artillery shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities, destroyed civilian infrastructure, hospitals, schools, historical monuments, and committed genocide against the Ukrainian people.

To date, according to the UN, 691 Ukrainians have died: 135 men, 99 women, 7 girls and 11 boys, as well as 30 children and 409 adults whose gender has not yet been determined; among the 1,143 injured were 105 men, 73 women, 15 girls and 4 boys, as well as 43 children and 903 adults whose gender has not yet been determined. And every day these numbers are only growing.

All these horrors can be listed endlessly... The heart of every Ukrainian is bleeding from these events. That is why your support is more important to us than ever. Do not be silent, because silence kills, helps the Putin regime to kill our friends, children and loved ones. Do not let your silence and inaction kill our people, our country, democracy, peace and order in the world.

I wish peace to everyone who read this, your family and the country. With deep hope, I believe in the speedy victory of my country, and that such horrors of war will never again stained the pages of human history with blood.
