Hi, I'm Dave. I'm from a small county in Kentucky. The most famous things my area is known for is a huge tornado that ravaged our town in 1978, and Pee Wee Reese (a famous baseball player) was born here in 1917. Otherwise, it's tobacco farms, cattle farms, and a small town. My wife and I are stuck as "postcard tourists" right now, because with a 3 year old, traveling is difficult for us.

I am a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (a medieval recreation group), collect autographs of baseball players and singers, listen to the opera and hip-hop, and operate a HAM Radio. (callsign W1MIR). I also love stamps from all over. I'm enjoying watching my postcard collection with stamps on them grow, and sharing them with my wife.

I am trying to become a writer full time, and as such I am constantly trying to learn more about the world around me. Both to sate my insatiable desire for knowledge /and/ to avoid writing flat characters. Beyond that, I am passionate about sport, and if your country has a national sport that I may not have heard of, I'd like to know about it.

I love all sorts of postcards, and love to find them in my mailbox. Nothing is likely to offend me, and honestly, I'll just be happy you took the time to write me.

I'm also interested in logging the Log/Lat from where you sent a card from. I would love to eventually have postcards from every country. (and every US state)

I am interested in Direct Swaps, if your looking for cards from Kentucky. I also am experimenting with mixed media art cards that I would be willing to swap as well.
