About Deirdre...

Hi

Remember to write the date on your card!

It is a new year..... and I am starting all over again. Keep the postcards comming.

I was born in Namibia, but lives in South Africa for the past 40 years. I am a keen photographer, and practically lives with a camera in my hands. I have a large postcard collection, and put them into scrapbooks with comments to each. Any kind of post cards are welcome (no free advert cards), please write the date on your card. However, I do like postcards of snow or sunsets/sunrises, and if it is a treat if both are on one card.

Please send me post cards you found in your home country, not a postcard you bought while on holiday in another country. I want to learn more about your country and your culture. I will tell you more about mine.

You can also have a look at my postcard wall to see what type of postcards I like.

I am looking out for your post card!

Greetings from South Africa

Deirdre

- If you are from Germany: You are welcome to write in German as I can read German. However I cannot write German, and will not try to speak it, but I will be able to follow a conversation in German.

- If you are from Netherlands: You are welcome to write in Dutch, as I can read and understand Dutch (You will also be able to read Afrikaans!) I can write and speak a very bad Dutch, so I do not try it often ;-)

- Our post office were not fully operational the past number of months. I see that other South African postcrossers got cards lately, so my hopes are high...

Deirdre
