As far as postcards go, I prefer ones that look like they've been somewhere. I'm not a collector of things, really, but I love the idea of someone sitting down and writing a little story, or even just 'hi, how are you?' and an address. I like looking at postmarks and thinking about how many places a thing went and how many hands held it before it got to mine. There's just something about that kind of connection that doesn't happen with emails and message boards and what have you, and I miss it. I'm also the kind of girl who used to write ten page letters to friends in junior high and high school, so if you give me a return address, be aware that it may well be used for some not-so-nefarious purpose.
Basically? I really miss sitting down and really writing to someone as opposed to sending an email or IM. I also like looking at the pretty lines on the map. So, I hope you enjoy my cards, and I know I will yours!
