About Christian...

Hello world! My name is Christian, and I'm an 18-year-old college student living in Michigan, the icy 'Water Wonderland' of the American Midwest.

Sending letters and postcards is my favorite thing to do! I also enjoy writing stories, plays, and poems. Additionally, I'm very interested in history and genealogy. I am fluent in English and I understand French at an intermediate level. I especially love learning the names of animals in French.

In my high school days I played many instruments: specifically, clarinet, violin, and viola. I even played the violin at my sister's wedding earlier this year. I come from a huge family with lots of cousins and nieces and nephews.

Last summer I went to Europe for the first time and got a taste of the beautiful German countryside for about two weeks. I also enjoyed brief stays in both Paris and London. I celebrated my 18th birthday in Berlin enjoying the 'Fête de la Musique', walking around listening to different musicians in the street. It was fantastic! The country I'd most like to visit one day is New Zealand because I love the countryside and the wildlife so much. I'd also like to see some beautiful mountain ranges in my life. Most of my favorite travel destinations in the USA involve driving through the Appalachian Mountains which I believe are the most stunning part of America! I would also love to explore Ireland and the Scottish Highlands.

I'd love to hear whatever you have to say, but here are some ideas: a historical fact about your region that you'd like to share, a short poem or saying you like, a memory you have of your grandparents or great-grandparents - or anything else! I can't wait to hear from you. It's my dream to one day have a large collection of postcards from all over the world (:

PS: I am not a big fan of stickers and washi tape, so maybe consider saving them for other postcard recipients! Thank you! (:

PSS: I absolutely love the look of hand-cancelled postage, so if you're willing to go the extra mile and have your postcard to me hand-cancelled at the post office I would be overjoyed!
