About Shirin...

***************************************************************
My apologies to those who have contacted me for direct swaps but did not receive replies. I've been up to my eyeballs preparing for an upcoming trip. I will be checking in more often and will try to respond to your emails ASAP.

I will be in Singapore for about 2 months, God willing, so if you want cards from there, message me for a direct swap. I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SEND CARDS FROM PAKISTAN UNTIL THE END OF AUGUST.

***************************************************************

Hi! I'm Shirin, a Muslim mum of 3. I'm 42 and am originally from Singapore, but have been based in Islamabad, Pakistan for the past 7 years. I am married and have 3 kids – we are homeschoolers and we are bibliophiles who hoard books! (My eldest daughter PlanetMarzz is also a postcrosser.)

I am an addicted Instagrammer and often try out crafts that I am pretty much hopeless at. I love snail mail and enjoy writing (long) letters to my pen-pals. I am mad about stationery and have fun making mail art. Oh yes, I love tea!

I'd be very grateful if you could write something on the card, telling me about your country and what makes it home for you. If you receive cards via direct swap from me, please let me know when you get them. The postal system can be erratic here and it would set my mind at ease knowing you got my mail.

CARDS I'D LIKE:
- UNESCO World Heritage Sites (see the list here: http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/)
- Landscapes
- Mosques
- Deserts and anything Middle Eastern
- Fall scenes
- Ladybirds and puffins… they're so cute!
- Covered bridges
- Horses
- Wild animals and nature
- Tea/coffee
- Rustic scenes, country scenes/homes
- Vintage typewriters, vintage 50s diners
- Bicycles

If you're from the US, I'd appreciate a state card (map, flower, bird… whatever!!) as I'm trying to do a 50-state book with the kids.

I like air mail etiquette or labels too, so if you have any to spare, drop me a message!
