About Caroline...

Hello fellow Postcrossers,
I am Caroline

I live in the very beautiful and culturally diverse city of Cape Town in South Africa
I'm a pretty ordinary, simple and fun loving girl (yes even at 41)
I am married and have a son of 8 years, and I have two cute cats.
I always feel like I should have been born in another era though, I enjoy the "olde" world.
Every morning I am so lucky to see the most amazing mountain range that somehow magically manages to look different each day, from my house.

I love to teach Montessori to children ages 3 - 6 years.
Soon I hope to open my own school here in Cape Town, this is a long time dream.
I do love to travel (even if its in my dreams sometimes)
I have been to Thailand, Madagascar, London and Amsterdam, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Botswana and all over South Africa.

I enjoy diverse hobbies and things I love to do, in no order of importance:
I love to work with children, practicing yoga, reading books, drinking a lovely cup of tea, warm sunny weather, montessori teaching and I enjoy listening to most kinds of music. I love Celtic music and celtic dancing most. I do hand crafts, such as wet felting, crochet, knitting and I love printed paper and scrapping. I think I am quite a spiritual person, and I also love the natural world, aromatherapy, crystals and rocks, trees and beach-combing for, shells and pebbles. I enjoy "people watching" but I also love to chat to people.

I love to collect iconic things from different countries to share with my children in our class, especially when we study the continents. Stories and photo's and special festivals, landmarks - well just about anything.

I'd love any postcards from around the world, I love all things vintage, I love rustic and country, shabby and chic, gypsy, modern and old world gardens, nature and landscapes, flags, animals, culture and history, anything quirky, decor and I also enjoy a bit of wit and humour. I would appreciate anything though, I also like stamps from different country 's to share with my class.

Please do write me a message, anything about you, your home, your town or country, how you spend your day, what you ate for breakfast or for dinner, the places you'd love to go, the places you have been - anything trivial about you and your life is well received. I get so excited when I open the letterbox and see a card! It's special for me.

Here's to many Happy Postcrossings
Caroline
