Hey y’all! My name is Brie ( yes, like the cheese ) and recently moved with my family to the country in Texas. Originally I am from the Deep South in Louisiana aka Cajun country.

My husband & I built our dream home and are now living on our family homestead. We have a corgi named Corka & a indoor handicapped chicken named Winifred. Our other chicken ladies are: Gerdy, Henrietta, Penelope, and Clotille - I look for any excuse to talk about our chickens! We just added 4 new chicks to the flock; Mary Sue, Georgia, Patsy, & Annie! + 2 ducks; Trudi & Trixi!We also have our first hive of bees, which love our huge garden. I'm so excited to say we are adding a family diary cow to our homestead this summer! When I'm not handling daily chores, you can find me lost in a book in our library ( my fav room of the house ) or decorating post cards!
